K-BEAUTY IMMERSION TRIP
Five days in Seoul to learn, experience, reset—and return inspired.
The MIGENS K-Beauty Immersion Trip is a five-day professional growth journey created for hairdressers who are ready to step outside the rhythm of everyday salon life and see their work from a new perspective.
You will learn directly from working Korean beauty professionals, experience Korean salon culture from both sides of the chair, explore new approaches to client experience and business growth, and make deliberate space to reflect on where your career is heading next.
This is not simply a workshop in another country.
It is an opportunity to learn, feel, reconnect and return with something worth bringing home.
MORE THAN A WORKSHOP
An immersion into K-Beauty—and into what comes next for you.
Being busy does not always mean you are growing.
There comes a point in many hairdressing careers when another technique alone is not enough. You may want fresh technical inspiration, a stronger client experience, new commercial ideas—or simply enough distance from your daily routine to think clearly again.
MIGENS created this trip to bring those things together.
Over five days in Seoul, professional education sits alongside real salon observation, cultural experience, conversation, nature and guided reflection.
You do not come only to see what Korea is doing differently.
You come to ask what those differences might help you see differently in your own work.
Learn from the source.
Experience it for yourself.
Bring home what matters to you.
THE JOURNEY
Five days. Four connected experiences.
The programme is designed as a journey rather than a collection of unrelated classes.
Each part gives you a different way to look at your career—through yourself, your craft, your clients and the direction you want to take next.
01
UNDERSTAND YOURSELF
Before asking clients to see your value clearly, begin by looking at yourself.
Through personal colour and image analysis, you will explore how colour, image and personal presence influence the way you feel and present yourself professionally.
Later in the week, time above Seoul creates space to step outside the routine and look back at the career you have already built.
Self-understanding creates a stronger starting point for what comes next.
02
LEARN FROM THE SOURCE
Learn in small groups with working Korean beauty professionals.
The programme brings together technical education and commercial thinking, including:
Korean layer cutting
Korean heat and wave perm techniques
Korean hair treatment approaches
client experience and loyalty
salon growth and customer strategy
The goal is not simply to collect more techniques.
It is to understand why they work, how they fit into the client journey and which ideas are relevant enough to bring into your own practice.
03
FEEL THE DIFFERENCE
Experience the salon from both sides of the chair.
Some things cannot be fully understood through a demonstration or classroom.
You need to experience them—and then observe them with a professional eye.
BE THE CLIENT
During the trip, you will sit in a Korean salon as a client yourself.
Pay attention not only to the finished hair, but to everything surrounding it: how the consultation begins, how choices are explained, the pace of the service, the small details of care and how the overall experience makes you feel.
For a few hours, you are not the professional responsible for creating the experience.
You are simply the person receiving it.
That change of perspective can reveal things that are easy to overlook when you spend every day behind the chair.
PROFESSIONAL SALON SHADOWING
Later, you will step behind the scenes of a working Korean salon and observe experienced hair professionals in their real environment.
This is not another staged demonstration.
You will watch how professionals consult with real clients, make decisions, move between services, communicate with their team and maintain the rhythm of the salon throughout the day.
Look beyond the technique.
Notice how a consultation becomes trust.
How a team works around one another.
How technical skill, timing and hospitality come together.
How small details contribute to an experience clients want to return to.
And where possible, ask questions about the choices behind what you observe.
First, experience the salon as a client.
Then return with the eyes of a professional.
The purpose is not to copy Korean salon culture.
It is to understand what makes an experience feel different—and decide what that can teach you about your own.
04
CHALLENGE & REFLECT
Step away from the chair long enough to hear yourself think.
Technical education fills much of the week, but the final part of the journey deliberately slows down.
On Day 5, the group heads to Inwangsan Mountain for a guided commitment walk overlooking Seoul.
The walk creates space to reflect on your career:
Where did you begin?
What have you outgrown?
What have you been postponing?
What deserves more of your attention now?
And most importantly:
Who are you still becoming?
You will leave the experience with a personal commitment for the next stage of your career—not simply something you learned in Seoul, but something you have decided to begin when you return home.
The trip should not end when you leave Korea. Something should begin.
WHY NATURE IS PART OF THE PROGRAMME
Hairdressers spend much of their working lives indoors, standing behind a chair and giving their attention to someone else.
MIGENS wanted part of this trip to create the opposite experience.
Time around Namsan and Inwangsan is intentionally included to make room for distance, conversation and reflection.
Not because a mountain automatically changes a career.
But because sometimes stepping away from your normal environment helps you see clearly what was difficult to see from inside it.
Learn deeply.
Step away.
Return with a different perspective.
The value of the trip is not measured only by what happens during five days in Seoul.
It is measured by what becomes useful afterwards.
WHAT YOU BRING HOME
Korean layer cutting, perm and treatment approaches that can expand the services and ideas you bring back to your clients.
NEW TECHNICAL CAPABILITY
Korean layer cutting, perm and treatment approaches that can expand the services and ideas you bring back to your clients.
A DIFFERENT VIEW OF CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Ideas around customer loyalty, client management and growth that connect the quality of the experience with the health of the business.
NEW BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
RENEWED DIRECTION
Time to consider what you want your next stage of growth to look like—not only what you want to do better, but who you want to become through the work.
PROFESSIONAL CONNECTION
A small group of hair professionals learning, eating, walking, questioning and experiencing Seoul together.
The relationships formed during the week may become one of the things you continue to carry long after the programme ends.
Learn it. Feel it. Bring it home.

WHO THIS TRIP IS FOR
The K-Beauty Immersion Trip is designed for working hair professionals who feel ready for something beyond another ordinary education day.
It may be right for you if you:
want fresh technical inspiration from Korean beauty professionals
are curious about why Korean salon experiences feel different
want to strengthen client loyalty and the experience surrounding your technical work
feel professionally busy but personally ready for a new direction
want to learn alongside other motivated hair professionals
need time away from your normal environment to think about what comes next
You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what your next step is.
Part of the purpose of the trip is to create enough distance to discover it.
BEFORE YOU COME
Bring three goals.
Every participant will be asked to identify three things before the programme begins:
MY CRAFT
What skill or service would most expand what you can offer?
MY BUSINESS
What would you like to change or grow in your career, salon or income over the next 12 months?
MYSELF
What personal shift, habit or clarity would you like to return home with?
These goals help shape the conversations, reflection and personal commitment you take from the week.
You may come to Seoul because you want to learn a new technique.
You may come because you want to understand Korean beauty differently.
Or you may simply know that you are ready for something new, even if you cannot yet name exactly what that is.
Whatever brings you here, the question MIGENS wants you to take home is bigger than the programme itself:
Who are you still becoming?
If that question stirred something, this trip may be where the next chapter begins.
